Private Probation Service
Purpose
The Private Probation Services Council was created in 1998 to regulate private probation companies offering misdemeanor case supervision in the State of Tennessee. The current requirements for the licensure of private probation companies and the officers that supervise clients can be found in Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 16, Chapter 3, Part 9.
Mission
The mission of the Private Probation Service Council is to protect the public health, safety and welfare through the regulation of private probation companies and their officers.
